Puppies!

Charley was definitely pregnant!  Monday, August 6th she had 10 puppies.  However, as I ran upstairs to check on something she lost one while she was welping another.  So we ended up with 5 little boys and 4 little girls.  I took the puppies to the vet when they were 2 days old to have Momma Charley and the litter checked out and also to have the dew claws removed from the puppies.  Lori (my vet) said she was very happy with how clean the puppies were and how attentive Momma was being.  She also said that Momma Charley held her weight very well.  (I knew I was planning on breeding her and kept her on powdered milk replacer and slowly changed her to dry puppy chow also, she is now on wet food mixed in to make sure she eats enough for all those puppies!)

The puppies all have their eyes open.  Can now walk most of the time and only "army crawl" when they are really tired but are walking on all fours more and more every day.  They are also finding their voices.  Their little groans and grunts are slowly but surely turning into little barks.  They even scare themselves when they bark, you should see them jump!  LOL    The puppies are progressing right on track and will be wormed next Monday at 3 weeks old.  Momma Charley is being her usual WONDERFUL self and more than happy to share them with visitors.  :)

As promised I have 3 of the puppies spoken for already.  I have 4 little boys left and 2 little girls who will be looking for forever homes.  I have posted pictures but here is the scoop.  All of the boys seem to be darker than the girls for now.  That could change though once they shed their puppy coats.  I have one very dark little male and a somewhat lighter one.  The other two are close in color.  The little girls are almost the exact same color, only difference is weight for now.

As usual the puppies will not go home before 8 weeks old.  I have set the date as October 6th just for ease (not sure if it is exactly 56 days or not).  They will have all vet care up to date at that time: shots, worming, dew-claws removed, check-ups.  They are health guaranteed for 1 year after birth and a full refund will be issued if health problems are found with an initial vet check within 72 hours of pickup.  Please call, text, or email me with any questions.  My info is on the right hand side of the blog.

Momma for the 2nd Time!

I have had requests for a litter of Goldendoodles from our female Charley.  Well it is looking like everyone's wishes will come true.  Charley should be due in less than a month.  I have decided to take names to add to a wait list as I have 3 of these little ones spoken for already.  After she has the puppies I will call those on the waiting list and the first ones in with deposits will have their puppy reserved.  I will also post pictures of Eri (the Standard Poodle poppa) and updated pictures of Charley (Golden Retriever) soon.  For now I just wanted to update everyone on the switch from AKC Goldens to Doodles this litter.   My contact info is the same as before.
